Would you like to do a sound or AV performance? After the talks and presentations, we will have some performances on the Marsio Stage as an evening program.
Exhibitions (Marsio Event Studio and Digital Studio) #
For the Demo Day this year, we are organizing two exhibitions in connection to the event. Shorter one in the Digital Studio and a longer one in the Event Studio.
Short Exhibition: Marsio Digital Studio #

December 11-13
The short exhibition will be open from Wednesday to Friday during the week of the Demo Day.
The shorter exhibition in the Marsio Digital Studio will be similar to the traditional Demo Day format. Showcase what you have created during the academic year!
Long Exhibition: Marsio Event Studio #

December 11 to January 17
The longer exhibition opens on the Demo Day and is open until January 17, 2025.
The year 2024 marks the 30th anniversay of the Aalto Media Lab. To honor this milestone, the longer exhibition will feature some highlights from the 30 years of the Media Lab in addition to work created in 2024.
For the longer exhibition, we would like to include specifically these:
- Thesis projects
- Larger research projects
- Course projects (that can survive an exhibition lasting over one month)
Please note! We also welcome submission from Media Lab alumni! We have invited some projects from the past but please submit your work to the open call if you would like to have it featured.
The works will be chosen as the submissions come in so please do not wait for the last moment.
Screenings (Marsio Cinema) #
Video works will be screened during the Demo Day in the Marsio Cinema (150 seat professional movie theatre).
